Breaking: New Date for Switch 2 Pre-Orders

Mario Kart World will likely be the launch title for the Switch 2, and yesterday, Nintendo made its case for why. There’s lots of courses new and old, all connected on a sprawling open-world map. There’s more characters, more items, and more ways to play with up to 24 other players. I, personally, can’t wait to drive through a sea of red shells—assuming I can get a Switch 2, anyway.

After a delay due to the ridiculous tariffs, Nintendo has confirmed that the U.S. and Canada can preorder the Switch 2 next week. The price for the console and bundles remain the same, though accessories will go up.

September 23 is going to be a big day for looter fans. Borderlands 4 launches that day, but so will Marathon, if all goes according to Bungie’s plans. Despite having been acquired by Sony, Bungie will release Marathon on PC and Xbox, as well. You can see more of the extraction shooter’s gameplay in our story linked above.

SRD 5.2 will allow creators to publish TTRPG content using the 2024 ruleset of the popular fantasy TTRPG, so expect more adventures using the 2024 D&D rule set to roll out starting in May.

It’s a little early for May the 4th, but tomorrow, we’ll get a little showcase for the newest Star Wars game on the block. Bit Reactor is a fairly new studio too, but it’s comprised of veterans from Firaxis, the studio behind Civilization and XCOM.
