Doom: The Dark Ages Reviews Are Live!
Get ready to rip, tear, and saw your way through some demons.

The reviews are officially out for Doom: The Dark Ages. The latest entry in the venerated first-person shooter turns the Demon Slayer into Captain America with a lot of guns. So… I guess even more American? Personally, I’m a big fan of the modern Doom games and gave Eternal a glowing review, so I’m eager to play this one.
According to our reviewer Anson Chan, there aren’t as many glory kills in the newest Doom game, and the focus on narrative wasn’t quite to his liking. However, everything he’s saying about how kinetic the game is and how the Shield Saw works only makes me more excited.
To clarify, it’s absolutely referring to the phrase “looking for group” and not… something else. This studio is a spin-off from within Bungie, and its mission is to create games that foster a sense of community.
Its first game that it’s working on is a “a team-based action game that draws inspiration from fighting games, platformers, MOBAs, life sims, and frog-type games.” So mark that on your wishlist, if you’re into frogs and Mario and Dota?

Some Positive Industry News
GenCon is arguably the biggest gathering of the tabletop industry, and U.K.-based game makers Rowan, Rook, and Decard will not attend this year for fear of their safety. Considering the Trump administration’s draconian control of the border, it’s understandable—especially when you consider one of their more popular games is called Eat the Reich.
Remember last week, when I said Nintendo is litigious? Things in Palworld recently changed after an update, and now Pocketpair has confirmed that these changes are a result of avoiding any further complications from Mr. Pikachu and his bandit of merry lawyers. The biggest change affects how Pals are summoned.
Speaking of, Nintendo is also suing Genki over its lineup of accessories for the “Glitch 2,” which is obviously the Switch 2. However. Nintendo claims it hasn’t provided Genki with the console, so guaranteeing day-one compatibility is misleading. Oh, and it’s alleging that Genki is infringing on Nintendo’s trademark as well.
