The Fallout TV Show Is Here—And Good!

Some say it's almost as good as The Last of Us...

Happy Friday! We have a lot of exciting Content™ for you this week (sMaSh that like button). We’ve got our review of the Fallout TV show, a hands-on preview of the latest Prince of Persia game (no, not The Lost Crown), and the release date for the next Star Wars video game. Let’s dive in!

From the Nolan behind Westworld comes the Fallout TV show, streaming now on Amazon. We’ve watched it, dissected it, and overall found it avoided the video-game adaptation curse that’s plagued many other shows and movies.

In fact, it’s so good that our editor in chief Andrew Otton compared it to the HBO adaptation of The Last of Us, which quickly rocketed up to be the gold standard for game-to-show stories.

Some of you might have already started the show (and you can check out our thoughts on episode 1 here). Some of you may have even finished it by now. It’s a wild, wonderfully weird romp through the wacky world of Fallout that shows a good understanding of the game’s universe.

If it’s given you the itch to jump back into the wasteland, there’s even more good news: Fallout 4 is getting some updates soon, and Fallout Shelter has an update right now. Additionally, Modiphus will be releasing miniatures based on some characters from the show for their Fallout tabletop games.

The real question is though, Starfield TV show when?

Podcast: RIP Nintendo Wii U Servers

This week’s podcast was a wild trip. Stretch gave us the tell-all about The Rogue Prince of Persia, if the preview above wasn’t enough for you. And we also came up with the best idea for a mobile game (just don’t steal it please).

Dan also lamented at the loss of the Wii U and 3DS servers (though they might not be completely gone), especially since he can’t play Splatoon 1 online anymore. Pour out some ink for the lost squid kids.
