Hideo Kojima's 10-Minute Trailer
Death Stranding 2 is officially coming out in 3 months.
Only Hideo Kojima could release a 10-minute video and call it a “trailer.” The follow-up to his far-out-there project is coming out in June, a lot sooner than I think anyone expected.
Will it snag game of the year from the clutches of Grand Theft Auto 6? Realistically, probably not. But also, Kojima is known for creating paradigm-shifting games. No one expected whatever Death Stranding was, and this sequel only looks like it’ll get bigger, wilder, and weirder.
There are (potential) references to Metal Gear Solid here, with weird mecha heads on top of slimy titan bodies and modern-day soldiers with bandanas. The fact that it comes out just two months before the Snake Eater Delta remake could be intentional—or really just coincidental timing. But what Kojima fan doesn’t love a little harmless conspiracy?
Disco Elysium, a very cerebral, thought-provoking, philosophical exploration into the human experience, is coming to mobile to appeal to the TikTok crowd. Surely nothing can go wrong here.
