Rumors have been swirling around about whether Xbox will continue to be in the hardware game, but Microsoft has emphatically swatted away the hearsay. If the pace remains the same as the last few cycles, we can expect some sort of new Xbox hardware in the next 3 or 4 years.

This is hot off the heels of an unpopular price increase for Xbox Game Pass, which cast a lot of doubt for people about the future of Xbox as a brand.

In more denial-related news, Nintendo corrected the record about its stance on generative AI. Previously, reports said that they were lobbying against it, but now Mario’s parent company doesn’t seem so upset about AI. But don’t worry—it’s still very committed to being very litigious to any IP infringement.

That’s right, a new area with new enemies is coming to Clair Obscur. There’ll also be new costumes and a new late-game boss for all you min-maxxers out there. It’s been nice to see this game be so well received, and it’s good timing for the studio to make this announcement as a friendly little “for your consideration” reminder just ahead of Game of the Year season—not that it needs it.

The Outsiders had been in business for 10 years before its untimely demise. It’s a shame, because Metal: Hellsinger is a fun rhythm-shooter game that really threaded the needle between the two genres. If that piques your interest at all, it’s worth picking up as a last hurrah for the devs.
