We revealed some exclusive new cards in the latest Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond set, focused on none other than your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. You can see the first one above, but if you’re curious about the second one, check out the story on our site! It’s a must-see for fans of the larger Spider-verse.

Wizards of the Coast in general revealed more about their foray into the Marvel universe, with a grand showcase of some Spider-Man villains, iconic suits, and the legendary Soul Stone. And if you’re into Secret Lair cards, we got to see some Daily Bugle themed ones that will websling their way to your local game shop by Sept. 22.

At PAX this past weekend, I interviewed Gearbox Founder and President Randy Pitchford and Borderlands 4 Narrative Director Sam Winkler about the road to launch for the upcoming installment.

We asked them about the upcoming DLC character and the pressure they might feel from fan-favorite characters Gaige and Krieg. And of course, we had to know more about all the ways they’re making the endgame more player friendly and convenient while pushing the grind for more—and better—loot.

In other PAX coverage, our editor in chief Andrew Otton got to play more of Crimson Desert, which still blew him away, even after he played it months ago at Summer Game Fest.

Trusted by millions. Actually enjoyed by them too.

Breaking news: Hugely anticipated game is huge on release. When I checked SteamDB yesterday, it was sitting at 500,000+ players within just 5 hours of it being out, and that remains true 24 hours later. And that doesn’t include Switch 2 numbers.

Sony and IO partnered for a PlayStation State of Play on Wednesday to show off gameplay from the upcoming 007 game. It might seem full-circle blasphemous to say this, but a lot of it reminded me of Uncharted, which ironically probably took some influence from 007 movies.

Later segments in the presentation felt more like Hitman though, so if you were expecting and hoping for that, don’t worry—IO’s got you covered.

What they don’t have covered, however, is more third-party games. After the disastrous launch of MindsEye, IO Interactive said they might be done publishing third-party games.

The highly acclaimed board game went the way of its predecessor and made the leap to the digital world. Frosthaven launched in early access in July, and now we know what to expect over the next year.
