According to Jason Schreier at Bloomberg, this wave of layoffs will likely affect almost every department under the Xbox umbrella. This is the fourth Microsoft layoff in the past 18 months, with this one being part of a “company-wide reorganization.” It’s a scary time to be working there, and in general for the industry at large, really.

In lighter Xbox news, Xbox Insiders will get a sneak peek at the new PC app next week that will aggregate all your games across different storefronts.

The hit co-op fadnomenon of the moment is doing pretty well for itself, causing the studios to reconsider the game’s future. They didn’t expect it to grow as big as it has, so now, aside from the standard bug fixes and stability issues, there’s more on the horizon for Peak, including merch.

Avellone, who’s worked on KotoR II and Fallout: New Vegas, has joined the studio founded by the writer of Detroit: Become Human. Together, they’re going to build a game about “a totalitarian regime seeking to crush a rebellion.”

The new “Backworms Compatible Update” has brought the SNES and Genesis ports of Worms to the collection, along with the Game Boy Advance game Worms World Party. If you’re feeling nostalgic, now’s a good time to get back into bombing your worm friends.
