The next generation of hybrid console technology comes out on June 5! We got a big hourlong tell-all about the Nintendo Switch 2, one of the very few direct hardware iterations the company has ever done.

If you missed the Nintendo Direct, we’ve got a quick hit of headlines to catch you up. Keep in mind, preorders go live next week in some regions, though that just got delayed in the U.S. for tariffying reasons. The price could even increase, because America just can’t stop winning.

Having all that power in the literal palms of your hands sounds pretty crazy. It’s up to each game developer to impelement them though. I just want some ray-traced Mario overalls.

And its games will be exclusive to the Switch 2, in terms of hardware. You can also buy a new GameCube controller to round it all out.

And the new Mario Kart is… kind of open world?? And very expensive.

It’s not Bloodborne 2, but it is a Switch-exclusive PvPvE experience coming next year from a studio that doesn’t miss. And if you like their single-player games, don’t worry—Miyazaki won’t stop making those any time soon.

In his own video game, too! Donkey Kong Bananza will come out July 17, not too far off from the console’s launch.
